Fun with Feelings Kids Workshop
Learning all about Emotions
On this therapeutic kids programme, we focus on emotional intelligence and emotional regulation. This helps children cope better with daily life by:
In this high-tech, fast-paced world, children often miss out on learning the communication skills they need to express themselves in a healthy way. When they can communicate their feelings effectively, children develop positive social skills that lead to lasting friendships and success in all aspects of life.
Sometimes children have strong feelings that can fuel challenging behaviours and they can find it difficult to know how to communicate appropriately when they're in a heightened emotional state. By becoming more aware of their emotional strengths and weaknesses and improve their ability to recognise, understand, and cope with emotions, children learn how to deal with strong emotions in a more constructive way.
This activity-based workshop allows children the opportunity to explore - what feelings are all about, how they impact on their behaviour/actions, how they affect their thoughts and how they make their bodies feel. Through fun games and activities, art and crafts, role play, story-telling, children get the opportunity to learn about and express their feelings in a healthy way and to understand other people's feelings too. This is a small group workshop aimed at children who are experiencing emotional/behavioural difficulties such as anxiety, worries, anger etc.
“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh
